Terms of Service

The service

ExpenseTracker lets you log expenses by sending messages over WhatsApp. Our AI extracts details such as amount, merchant, category, and date, writes them to a Google Sheet you own, and answers questions about your own spending. The service depends on WhatsApp and Google Sheets, which are operated by third parties under their own terms.

Your account

Your account is tied to your WhatsApp phone number. You are responsible for keeping access to that number secure. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use the service.

Plans and billing

• Free: up to 7 expenses a month, one Google Sheet, at no charge.
• Starter: $3 per month for unlimited expenses and one Google Sheet.
• Pro: $10 per month for everything in Starter plus up to 5 different Sheets.
• Teams: $60 per month for shared Sheets collaboration with 20 users included.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Fees are non refundable except where required by law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including:

• Sending unlawful, abusive, or deceptive content to the service.
• Attempting to access other users' data or disrupt the service.
• Reselling the service or using automated tools to flood it with messages.

Your data

Your expense records live in your own Google Sheet and remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process your messages and write to that Sheet. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy

The AI is accurate but not perfect. Extracted amounts and categories may occasionally be wrong, and you should review your Sheet before relying on it. ExpenseTracker is a record keeping tool and does not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service is provided as is, without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce a paid plan's value.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored in third party services.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time; messaging "delete my account" starts account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. Your Google Sheet always remains in your Google Drive.
